I hate to say success happens over night because we bloggers know all too well that does not happen. However, once you start seeing more traffic, gaining more social media attention and producing more traffic, results will start feeling like an overnight thing. One sure way for bloggers to get the attention their blogs deserve is through networking. There are many Facebook groups out there dedicated to helping bloggers be successful. However, here I list my 20 Facebook favorites.

Large Facebook Groups (10,000k + members)
Large Facebook groups are awesome because they have a large network of bloggers that you can connect with. These groups often have many free resources to support you on your way. For example, you might find a list of friendly ad networks or you might find an instructional on how to create a media kit. The support offered through discussion is very helpful and I am grateful to be a part of most these groups. The only downside to large Facebook groups is that your participation could easily get lost in a long thread. These groups are so big and hard to police so to speak to ensure people are following the rules. Therefore, there may be instances in which your blog will not receive the notice it deserves.

Smaller Facebook Groups (<10,000k members)
I love smaller Facebook groups because of the intimacy of their environment. You get a better sense of what it means to network. Sometimes participating in the large Facebook groups feels more like a link drop, and you can easily get lost in those threads. I recommend that bloggers find a few smaller Facebook groups to participate in. There is no doubt when I tell you that most of my success have come from smaller groups. When you have a group that is genuinely interested in growing their blog and, also excited about the growth of yours… you are in good company. It is really cool to see familiar faces from time to time and it is a great way to increase your engagement for your blog.
The downside to smaller groups is that you MUST participate. It is easier to get caught if you don’t. I’m not sure why you wouldn’t want to be an active member… but I’m just putting it out there.

It’s not hard to get accepted into these groups. Most want people who want to improve their blog in a supportive environment. You may be pre-screened with a short questionnaire. They want legit bloggers and not people who plan to spam the group. Some groups are more appropriate for certain niches. Find your fit and get connected. I hope the list above is helpful and gets you in the mood to start socializing and promoting your blog.

I am very new to blogging and until recently I had no idea these Facebook groups existed! I found this post very useful. Thank you!
You are welcome! 🙂
YES! These are some of my all time favorite groups. I love Awesome Bloggers, and Instagram Fabulous, Facebook Fabulous- they are all so helpful. It is amazing what we can do to help support one another.
I know it has made a world of difference for me and my blog. My blog has been successful but I have also met some pretty cool blogger friends. <3
I belong to a few of these groups and they have really helped me connect with other influencers and helped me become a better writer. There were a few on the list that I’d never heard of so I am so heading over to FB to check them out. Thanks for the list.
Anytime! 🙂
I’m a member of most of these groups. I would add a few to the list that I don’t see here. They are for the faith-minded niche.
Yes, please share your top recommendations. 🙂
Believe it or not but I recognized 9/10 of the blogging sites you listed. There are a few which you named that I haven’t heard of and I wouldn’t mind joining in the near future. Without these blogging groups, I wouldn’t have them to thank for the wonderful networking and blogging opportunities.
Ditto! I met you in another group listed in this list and it amazes me at how groups like this give us multiple opportunities for exposure. The connections that are made are priceless. 🙂
I am a member of a handful of the smaller Facebook groups (and one of the larger ones). They have helped me immensely expand my blog and understanding of social media. I am happy to learn of a few larger ones that I should check out.
What a small world and how we can all connect through these groups! I too believe that it has been one of things that has helped my blog get more attention. 🙂
That’s such a handy list! I didn’t realize that I wasn’t part of so many useful groups online, having added myself to so many. A lot of the ones you suggested have better threads and are exactly what I’m looking for. Thanks a ton for this post- I’ve joined a bunch from it!
Nice, networking is awesome!
As someone who helps run one of the larger sites mentioned, I can attest to the level of effort that goes on behind the scenes. That being said, it’s the coolest thing to interact with fellow bloggers from around the world. I’ve found everyone (mostly) to be supportive and kind. Plus, as a food blogger, I never would have sought out, for example, travel or fashion bloggers. Now I really look forward to their posts! Such a cool world we live in with groups like these to connect us all. x
It kinda makes such a large world feel like a small world. It is such cool experience to connect with bloggers from different niches.
Joining a community of like-minded individuals is always a crucial step for bloggers so this post is really helpful! Thank you for summarizing this all. It will really help a lot of people!
Yes, it helps especially when there are so many groups out there. It helps you kinda stay focus on your marketing goals.
Thank you, I want to start blogging soon and this would be a great networking opportunity for me.
You are welcome!
Oh, thank you for listing all these down. I am a member of some and I find them amazing. Would check out the others too…It’s really important to have a network of blogging friends to support each other with individual endeavors. Thanks!
Anytime! 🙂
